The Wellness Community provides psychological, educational, and social support services for cancer patients, their families and friends at no charge.  TWC's program helps cancer patients focus on quality of life, reduce stress and regain control of their lives.  Services include support groups led by licensed psychotherapists, stress management sessions, educational workshops and social events.  The Wellness Community's program is an adjunct to conventional medical treatment.

In The Wellness Community's home-like community-based setting, people affected by cancer can actively participate in free programs including:

  • Professionally-led, weekly support groups.
  • Educational workshops.
  • Nutrition classes.
  • Stress reduction and movement classes.
  • Professionally-guided relaxation and visualization sessions.
  • Yoga.
  • Cancer-specific and networking groups.
  • Resource library.

Fight for your recovery and improve your quality of life.

The First Step:  Welcome to Wellness

(Tuesdays, 5:00-6:00pm and Thursdays, 11-noon or by appointment)

Drop in and learn about The Wellness Community's programs and services.  This meeting is recommended for all adults with cancer and their loved ones coming to The Wellness Community for the first time.  All are invited to share their stories or just listen and meet others dealing with cancer.

Weekly Groups

Weekly Groups for people with cancer and/or family members are the heart of The Wellness Community's program.  Adult group members of different ages and with different types of cancer come together each week to support one another.  These ongoing, two-hour support groups require a commitment and are led by licensed psychotherapists.

Joining a weekly group requires attendance at a Newcomers meeting and a brief interview.
